Witchcraft involves rituals, spells, and magic intended to manipulate supernatural forces, often associated with neo-pagan traditions like Wicca. Historically and biblically viewed as an evil, forbidden practice-specifically involving divination, sorcery, or contacting spirits-it is also seen as an attempt to gain power or knowledge outside of divine will. It is often associated with causing harm, or “maleficium,” and has historically led to persecution, yet modern interpretations can treat it as a neutral, personal, or spiritual practice.
