KNOWLEDGE / ANIMAL / OTHERWORLDLY / TRANSGENIC
A transgenic organism is a living entity—animal, plant, or microbe—whose genome has been intentionally modified by introducing foreign DNA from another species. Using genetic engineering techniques, these foreign genes (transgenes) are incorporated into the host’s genetic material and can be passed to future offspring, creating new traits like disease resistance or faster growth.
RELIK A-Z: Transgenic Spider-Goat — Gene Editing Series
What they didn’t teach you in biology class. The Transgenic Spider-Goat collection is an educational trading card series documenting the real, radical, and deliberately undersold science of genetic modification — told without simplification.
Each card pairs original creature artwork with documented scientific fact: CRISPR-Cas9, DNA’s double helix, Foreign DNA, GMOs, Gene Knockouts, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Recombinant DNA Technology, the First Transgenic Animal, and what it actually means to splice one species into another. These are the breakthroughs that rewrote biology — named, defined, and given the weight they deserve.
This is not comfortable science. It is necessary science.
Part of the RELIK A-Z Knowledge Card system, each card carries point values, rarity levels, and category tags connecting to the larger RELIK Animal / Human Otherworldly universe.
