Drag is a performance art that exaggerates gender roles and stereotypes through costumes, makeup, and persona, often serving as a form of social commentary, self-expression, and queer art. It is a flexible medium—ranging from drag queens (femininity) to kings (masculinity)—that challenges societal norms, builds community, and provides, through entertainment, a platform for satire and creative freedom.

What they didn’t teach you in theater class. The My Mirror / Myself collection is an educational trading card series documenting the real, ancient, and relentlessly criminalized history of drag performance across human civilization — told without apology.
Each card pairs original mirror-reflection portrait artwork with documented fact: Japanese Kabuki, Cross-Dressing, Drag Shows, Drag, Female Impersonator, Black Vaudeville, Vaudeville, Bard, Ancient Greece, The Drag, and Drag Queen. These are the traditions, performers, and moments of gender transgression that stretch from ancient Athens to Shakespeare’s stage to Mae West’s censored plays — named, defined, and given the weight they deserve.
This is not a costume. It is a centuries-long conversation about power, performance, and identity.
