EMPATHY / HUMAN / DRAG
Drag culture is a centuries-old theatrical performance art that centers on exaggerating gender norms, often featuring queens (feminine) or kings (masculine) through costume, dance, and humor. It serves as a vital form of self-expression, LGBTQ+ community building, political resistance, and, increasingly, mainstream entertainment.

The Plot: The Crown Awaits
By day, Julian is a quiet, reserved designer trying to find his footing in a glittering, overwhelming metropolis. But by night, under the blinding backstage vanity lights, he transforms into Jewel—a towering, fiercely confident drag queen with platinum blonde hair, sparkling rhinestone collars, and an unbreakable stage presence. To the city, Jewel is an invincible icon. But to Julian, the line between where the performer ends and the real person begins has become a suffocating blur.
On the eve of the Grand Continental Pageant—the absolute pinnacle of the drag world—the immense pressure reaches a breaking point. Confronting his reflection in a historic, shadowed theater dressing room, Julian suffers a crisis of identity and shatters the ancient glass in a moment of frustration.
Instead of breaking, the mirror fractures into an impossible, swirling vortex of cosmic energy and static electricity. Suddenly, Julian’s reflection begins moving on its own.
Julian is pulled through the glass into “The Continuum”—a surreal, shifting pocket dimension built out of old theater curtains, endless vanity mirrors, and neon cityscapes. Here, identity is a physical superpower. Julian finds himself completely separated from his persona; Jewel is now a living, breathing entity of pure confidence standing right beside him.
The two halves of the same soul must learn to walk in lockstep, because the shattering of the glass has unleashed The Hollow, a terrifying, skeletal entity born of pure vanity and stage fright. The Hollow feeds on the deep-seated insecurities of performers, and it is using the shattered glass fragments to cross over into the real world, threatening to consume the identities of everyone Julian loves. To reclaim the crown and seal the portal, the quiet designer and his loud, glamorous persona must stop fighting for dominance and learn to genuinely accept each other—proving that true royalty comes from the harmony within.
