Kangaroos are large marsupials native to Australia and New Guinea, renowned as the world’s largest marsupials and the only large animal to use hopping for locomotion. They are herbivores that live in social groups called mobs, possessing powerful hind legs, specialized tails for balance, and forward-opening pouches to carry their young (joeys).
