In Job 40-41, Behemoth and Leviathan are portrayed as two untamable, chaotic, and unimaginably powerful creatures that symbolize God’s supreme power over creation and evil. God uses them to illustrate to Job that if humans cannot control these beings, they cannot question God’s divine wisdom or justice.
