Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a conceptual framework designed to promote the fair treatment, full treatment, full participation, and representation of all people-particularly historically marginalized groups-within an organization or society. It aims to foster a welcoming environment where diverse backgrounds are valued, biases are addressed, and everyone has equal access to opportunities.

What they didn’t teach you in civics class. The Where The Equals Are collection is an educational trading card series documenting the real, necessary, and deliberately weaponized language of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion — told without hedging.
Each card pairs original otherworldly figure artwork with documented fact: AANAPISI, AAPI, AAVE, Ableism, Accessibility, Accomplice, Bias, Bigotry, BIPOC, Cisgender, Class, and Classism. These are the terms, identities, and systems that define who belongs, who is excluded, and who does the work of changing both — named, defined, and given the weight they deserve.
This is not a glossary. It is a field guide.
